Well, it's Monday after a nice 3-day weekend. I actually took one this week. I've been slipping due to busy-ness on the job or travel. On Friday we packed up the rig and went down to Hermiston Oregon to a small waterpark they have. Basically like the ones some of you enjoy in Utah with pools for wee ones. Small waterslides, a lazy river, and many fountain-esque type water features. The kids had a ball. Shani cast aside her recent hesitations about water and went to it. She voluntarily did all the things she wouldn't do in her swim lessons like jump in off of the side of the pool and hold her breath to go under water. The water temperature in the pool was at least 80. That helped make it comfortable for her. She always gets the major shivers when she goes swimming. With no body fat, it's easy to see why. Not Friday though. She also braved and then loved the waterslide with daddy. A new arena for her as well.
Grayson puttered around in one of our arms. Splashing and enjoying himself. He's such an easy-going little guy when he's fed. He likes the water just fine.
The day ended when the pool was cleared for an 'unidentified floating object'. Bound to happen in a place like that. We'll be back. It was a great family bonding experience.
Saturday we headed up to Charbennaeu (Sp?) reservoir for some boating with the Becks. My boarding skills were in a lull. Beautiful weather and it was nice to have Necia and Kyle and Maren around. The new bimini was nice for the kids to have some shade on the boat. The water was a bit rougher than I like it.
We fasted for Curran yesterday and hope his condition improves. He's been through so much. We're so grateful for our little G and his health, but wish Becca and Co. could share in that just a bit more with their son. Our prayers are with you.
